Middlemarch signs up to living wage scheme

Living Wage Foundation

Middlemarch has recently received accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation, which means that anyone who works for us will receive at least the Real Living Wage.

Giving people a living wage

We’ve joined 11,000 UK businesses – such as our own clients Mitie and Vinci, as well as household names such as Lush, Aardman and Nationwide – who believe their employees and contractors deserve a living wage that meets every day needs.

Getting accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation recognises our commitment to pay at least the Real Living Wage, the only UK rates based on actual living costs.

The rates are calculated annually by the Resolution Foundation and overseen by the Living Wage Commission, using the best available evidence about UK living standards.

Positive social impact

Tom Docker, Middlemarch Managing Director, said: “The Living Wage Foundation accreditation reflects certain values that are important to our business, including our commitment to our employees’ wellbeing and our ambition to measure our positive social impact.

“The accreditation is a formal agreement that we’ll keep under constant review. When the Real Living Wage goes up, then we’ve committed to paying at least this amount.

“This accreditation will also have a positive impact on the wider local economy because our commitment will extend to third-party contractors.”
