As the largest Wildlife Trust Consultancy, our mission is to deliver value in nature right across the UK.
We believe that ethical and sustainable business practices and governance are key to creating long-term value for our stakeholders. Our ESG Statement sets out our commitment to further enhance our 30-year positive legacy into the future; and ensures we are transparent and evidence-led in the process.
As a subsidiary of Warwickshire Wildlife Trust (WWT) and an extension of the wider Wildlife Trust movement, we are dedicated to contributing to their ambitious 2030 Strategy1 and Corporate Engagement Framework2,3 – informing the choices we make regarding our projects and partners, ensuring our business practices are both environmentally and socially responsible, and further strengthening the movement as a whole.
WE WILL DELIVER ON FIVE COMMITMENTS.
❶ We will embed responsible business behaviours that guide our operations and decision-making.
❷ We will make a positive impact and demonstrate measurable improvement to our project outcomes and business activities.
❸ We will nurture an inspiring, respectful and safe working environment where our employees can thrive and excel.
❹ We will prioritise partners that share our commitment to sustainability and responsible environmental practices.
❺ We will prioritise projects that focus on delivering genuine ecological benefits and align with the latest biodiversity standards.
WHAT GOOD LOOKS LIKE FOR MIDDLEMARCH AND OUR STAKEHOLDERS.
❶ Nature positive solutions that protect and enhance nature and encourage bold decision-making and collaboration.
❷ Responsible commercial and corporate governance that reduces our impact on the planet and supports ethical practices.
❸ A profit-for-purpose business that gives back to our employees, nature and communities.
REPORTING OUR PROGRESS
We are committed to transparency and accountability in our ESG performance. We will publish an annual ESG report that details our progress and may also provide updates on individual ESG initiatives throughout the year to keep stakeholders informed.
